- On uphill terrain, with skis parallel (or close to parallel) to each other, walk up the hill by lifting each ski several inches high and then lowering the ski to the ground.
- In raising the ski, the NordiClaw will automatically turn perpendicular to the ski and then be able to penetrate the snow when the ski is lowered.
- This will secure the ski to the slop.
- On downhill and flat surfaces, ski as usual.
- Nordiclaws only become activated on uphill surfaces.
