The Racing Combi Alu sharpener also has another great advantage: it can be converted into a side grinder, or the popular "claw" by simply setting the knob to 5.
Installing an aluminum-oxide stone segment allows for the edge to be "de-hardened" (softened) beforehand. The FK SKS roller system used in the sharpener allows for smooth movements during sharpening, significantly simplifying the entire process.
A big advantage of this sharpener is the ability to use various cutting tools with dimensions of 20x30 mm, e.g. a coarse rasp file, a fine finish file, diamond files, Alu-Oxyd and ceramic stones.
When "hardening" the edge, remove the file segment and insert the cap included with the sharpener; proceed in the same manner when sharpening the edge.
